Though Colombian food may not be known for its variety, its capital city does not come up short when it comes to great eating. After the jump, Oasis clues you in on our top restaurant choices in Bogota.

Urbano Yo Restaurante

This delicious, one of a kind Mediterranean restaurant, located in the centre of Bogotá is built on two floors, and can accommodate up to 80 people. The dishes are mostly named after places around the city such from the ‘Plaza de Bolívar’ (a mushroom and broccoli soup), and ’72 con Caracas’ (a bruschetta with squid and mushrooms), to the ‘Coliseo’ (a pasta dish with chicken and vegetables). Make sure to try the Poppyseed cake if you still have room for dessert.Cra 4a No. 27 – 03

La Puerta Falsa

Housed in a 400 year old building Falsa is the best place to go to enjoy an old-fashioned Santa Fe tamale. To make things more even more old-fashioned, it takes the prize as Bogota’s oldest restaurant and is has been family run since 1816, preserving the consistency and quality of the food.Calle 11 no. 6-50

Another Italian spot you say? Romana is more known for their coffees (tintos) than the food. Sporting the same style decor from when it opened in the mid-sixties (right down to the waitresses attire), order a coffee, read a book and soak it all in.Avenida Jiménez @ Carrera #6

Las Margaritas

At over a century in biz and still cranking, this restaurant must be doing something right.
