Racetrack Gourmet

Sit back and relax in one of the craziest cites!

São Paulo (a soon-to-be Oasis destination) is one of the greatest, richest, fast-paced enjoyable cities in South America. I’m sure that when you visit the Paulistas you’ll always have something to do or somewhere to go.

Often one forgets to relax and just sit down when in a town which has such a busy rhythm.

So the next time your in São Paulo make sure you go to the Hipodromo Cidade Jardim.

Part of the Jockey Club São Paulo, this racetrack was inaugurated in 1941. In between classic architecture buildings and with the view of the São Paulo concrete skyline, this is a great place to relax and have a drink after a crazy day of fun in the city.

If you want to add a little of glamour to your evening you can sit down, have a drink and then dine in one of most recommended restaurants in the city, Charlô. Charlô is a fancy gourmet restaurant where you can have a great dinner after your racetrack earnings.

Another option is to visit the Mercearia São Roque. This place has a younger crowd and a more relaxed atmosphere. It’s great to have some beers while watching the races. You can also have a great dinner here and the crowd at night is some of the trendiest of São Paulo. The Mercearia has a busy agenda of live music and other venues from Thursday to Sunday, so check out their website for more info.

Keep an eye out for the launch of Oasis São Paulo, coming soon!
