New Welcome Baskets in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, & São Paulo

At Oasis Collections, we want you to experience a destination like a local. So we are excited to announce that starting this South American summer, we will be including curated welcome baskets at check-in for our Guests staying in Buenos Aires and Bogotá properties. Just like with our custom Insider Guides (which feature recommendations for the best restaurants, bars and cultural activities) the welcome baskets will include signature items from local purveyors that will get you acquainted with your new city. So what kind of goodies can you expect?

Our Guests in Buenos Aires can look forward to treats such as:

Darami gourmet chimichurri:

This tradtional Argentine salsa is made from finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, and white or red vinegar and is often served as an accompaniment to beef and choripan.

Antares beer:

Although Argentina is more typically known for its wine, there is a growing trend in handcrafted beers. Antares is a popular brewery with several bars in the city.

Cachafaz Alfajores:

It would be hard (if not impossible) to visit Argentina without eating at least one of these sandwich cookies. Although variations abound, the classic version is two sweet biscuits joined together with mousse, dulce de leche or jam, and coated with black or white chocolate.

Malbec:

The most popular wine produced in Argentina is the dark, spicy Malbec. We make it easy for you to try the varietal, even if you can’t make a trip to the Mendoza wine country.

Guests in Bogotá can expects items that include:

Matiz gourmet coffee:

Colombian coffee has been recognized worldwide for its high quality and distinctive taste.

Caminos Reales Arequipe:

In Colombia, dulce de leche is called “arequipe.” When literally translated, it means “candy of milk.” This thick, sweet jam is prevalent throughout South America on desserts, breads and even some savory snacks.

Oriflame toiletries:

Although not a Colombian company, we can’t get enough of these fantastic products including their hand cream, shampoo and conditioner.
