As you enter the dimly lit club, work from some of Buenos Aires’ best fashion photographers inconspicuously adorns the walls. Fashionistas casually sip champagne and wander from portrait to portrait, which can be found in just about every corner of the crowded rooms. Soft music floats through the crowd as the night’s guest DJ spins on the balcony directly outside. A photographer winds through the smokers standing in front of the illuminated pool in the garden, surreptitiously documenting the evening’s action.
This is every Tuesday night at The Clubhouse, where Cristian Altamirano’s Fashion Gallery draws in one of the trendiest crowds that this city has to offer. The guest’s dress code is as diverse as it is inventive, and causes one to briefly forget that the focus of the night should be on the exhibit.

The featured artists have been just as diverse as the attendees. Pablo Franco, the first of six total photographers, offered some amazing shots set on the backdrop of Los Angeles. Even those with limited exposure to the world of fashion photography can attest to how cool a Harley looks in black and white.

Gustavo Di Mario, the second and most recent artist featured, included portraits of much younger subjects, which emphasized pure light, amazing color, and detailed composition.
Fashion Gallery is a digital and social project from creative director Cristian Altamirano. It takes place every Tuesday, bringing in the work of a new photographer every two weeks. You can find the full schedule of upcoming artists here.
